2. Choose the Right Type of University

University (Universität) Focuses on academic and theoretical education. Suitable for students aiming for research, master's degrees, or an academic career.

University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) Offers more practical and application-oriented education. Strong in internships, industry connections, and real-world experience.

3. Don’t Decide Based Only on Rankings

Rankings like QS or Times can be useful; however, many high-quality public universities in Germany may not rank highly but still offer excellent education.

4. Language: German or English?
